Overview

Shed Coil Winding

Alliance shed winders have been in service for decades, and they have continuously improved through development and engineering. Shed winders can be run as stand-alone machines in cellular manufacturing or integrated into a multi-process automation system. The Alliance shed winders cover the full range of stator sizes wound with round magnet wire.

No Twist Coil Winding

No-twist coil winding is an automation adaptation of rotating mandrel-form winding. The wires are wound in parallel and distributed adjacently so that there is no twist in the wire. This type of precision-wound coils improves the coil insertion process in some applications.

Kicker-Pin Winding

Another solution for round wire winding at high speeds is our kicker-pin winding design. These machines use kicker-pin tooling technology to advance the wire directly into the insert tooling for automatic equipment or manual transfer tooling for standalone equipment. Continuous improvement and engineering development are at the core of our business. This is an example of that philosophy. Kicker-pin winding is another option for maintaining winding consistency and increasing winding capabilities for our customers.
